Akhirnya aku berjaya mendapat album latest dari Maliq & d'essentials. Terima kasih tak terkira besarnya kepada Mas Pohjee yang berjaya menjumpa CD ini di Bandung. Makasih ya mas.

Aku sebelum ni dapat dengar 2 lagu je dari myspace dorang dan kalau korang ingat aku ada posting 1st single dorang nya video clip. Check sini. I love the first single. Seperti yang aku tulis dalam post tu, lagu tu memang manis.

Total lagu dalam album ni hanya 6 lagu. Agak kecewa gak la. Tapi takpe. Aku pasang. Aku layan. Aku cuba layan. Aku cuba layan lagi. Dayem. Kurang menarik album ini. Bak kata Peah "kurang? Memang tak best langsung Pee!!". Aku mungkin setuju. Aku agak kecewa dengan album ini. 5 lagu yang agak forgettable dan hanya 1 lagu yang aku suka. 6 songs not considered an album to me. I will say this is only an EP. I hope better music will come from them in the future.

I was sleeping on a Saturday morning when my dad woke me up. Asked me to get up and get ready. I was 12 or 11 years old. Got into the car and ask him "nak gi mana pak?". He answered "TUDM". I thought, damn...he's taking me to watch him play golf. My dad loves playing his golf at TUDM Sg Besi. It was his sanctuary. When we got there, he turned into the base office for the army planes. Got out and met his friend. An army pilot, had the day off and planned to fly around KL in a small plane (I dont remember what the plane is called). Off we went into the sky and I'm looking out the window. Scared. Mind you when I was small, I hated flying. I get air sick. However, looking out the window of this small plane, I forgot all of my fear and enjoyed the view. It was beautiful. Cars were like matchbox toys only they were moving by themselves and not by my hand. People were so tiny. Everything looked like toys. I was in heaven.

That is one of sweetest memories I enjoyed with my dad. Today marks the 6th year of his passing. I love you Pak and will always miss you. Al-Fatihah.

I finally watched Marley & Me just now with Ema. I like Owen Wilson. He's a funny dude in his own weird way. I was expecting like a funny movie with the dog being such a pain in the ass but I was wrong. I was so wrong. It was a great movie in showing how your pets can be a friend in hard and good times. They dont talk back and certainly wont judge you. No matter how you feel, dog or cat or whatever your pet is, will make you smile. Though sometimes it will piss you off, they will somehow make you laugh in the end. So, Marley & Me was a joy to watch and at the end, Marley grew old and his time had come. It was sad to watch him die and a tear rolled down my face. It reminded me when I found my cat, Chewie, on the side of the road. Yes, I can be soft sometimes. Im only human...

Back in 1994, I was in London visiting my brother (he was studying there). One fine day I was watching MTV (I think so..) and saw this awesome band. Aku tanya abang aku, sapa dorang ni, abang aku cakap Jamiroquai. Gile ah..they were playing Space Cowboy live and I was hooked. Abih segala benda aku cari pasal Jamiroquai. I was addicted. The best thing about this band was of course Jay Kay lah kan but to me it was Stuart Zender. Bass dia leleh bai. Memang bass line dia gile. Leleh tiap kali aku dengar. 1996 they release the best album that they have ever produce in my opinion. Cuba layan lagu Alright and tell me the bass line and beat doesnt make you wanna dance eventhough you cant dance for shit. So, I made it my mission, my aim, my 10 things to do in life which was to watch them live in concert. 2002 my dream came true. They came to Perth and I bought my plane ticket without any hesitation at all. It was one of the best concert I've ever been to however I missed Stuart Zender's bass lines. Nonetheless, I was so happy that I could watch them I didnt care. 5th April, Jay is coming to town and sesapa yang tak pernah tengok Jamiroquai live, I tell you its an event not to be missed. He is a performer. He is slick. He is meant to be watched live in action rather than in videos. I hope I get my tickets so that I can watch him in action again. Oh, the video above is from 1992 Return of the Space Cowboy, Half the Man. One of my favourite Jamiroquai track of all time. You're the other half of me...

is Indonesia. Hahaha..I went to Jakarta earlier this month as you all know. Main reason was to watch Lamb of God's concert and also a small reunion with my univ mates back in Perth. It was good to catch with Tari and Ocky. Tari was my junior in univ and Ocky was my classmate, concert buddy, smoke buddy and all round good friend I made back in Perth. With the power of Facebook, we finally got back in touch after 9 years. It was a great trip and a tiring one as well. The concert was excellent and I only wished that I had bought floor tickets instead of seat tickets. Huge thank you to Tari, Andri, Ocky and Ayu for making our trip to Jakarta a good one! Masih ingat dengan posting aku tentang nak repair savvy nya ignition coil? Tak ingat refer sini. Akhirnya aku repair gak ignition coil tu. Harga aku repair tidak pun cecah 1 ribu. Malah tidak lebih dari RM500 pun. Hahaha. Berapa kau tanya aku? RM340 total. YE! Ignition coil RM250, spark plug RM50 dan upah pasang RM40. Yes! Takde de sampai 1 ribu. Bangsat. Finally, what we came for arrived. All Meat thin crust pizza. Topping=Good Sauce=Good Crust=Good/so-so

Lunch made ponder, better...really? I think I'll give them a 6 out of 10. If only the portions were larger and baked rice wasnt so tasteless...

I went to my brother in law's school today to meet his teacher because he had his handphone confiscated. Now, I have told him, never to bring it to school because I think its wrong. I didnt own a fuckin handphone when I was his age and at that time it didnt existed. Being a stubborn 17 year old, he still took it to school and yesterday, it got taken away by the teacher. Im all for banning handphone in school because with all the new technolgy these phone got, nothing is impossible. So, today I had to go meet his teacher to get back the phone and some nagging session. Mind you this is not the first time I've gone for parent/guardian meeting with a teacher. When he was at his old school (St John), I went to get his report card. Everytime it was the same issue, smart but lazy.

I got to the school, went to the office and sat with the teacher. Before me, there this indian boy who was in her room getting an earful from the teacher for not finishing his homework. The first thing the teacher said to me was..

Teacher : Im sorry for the mess and smell (the indian boy had a funky odour). That stupid boy is a bit busuk.

HELLO?! Stupid? Come on lah. Why you have to call the boy stupid. I mean, you're a fuckin educator here. You should know a better word to use other than stupid kan. Ok, I admit I use bodo with my friends. However, they are my friends and me calling them bodo means that Im saying to my friend "You're a fuck head and that was silly". Bodo is sweet and short. I would never call my colleague bodo. I surely wont call my nephew or brother or sister bodo. Thats just plain harsh. I got a bit irratated with the teacher (and I think everyone knows what my opinion of our education system) and told her..

Me : I dont think you should be calling your students stupid.

She looked at me like, "oh crap!" and said she had her reason for calling him stupid. Fuck that shit. Whatever reason you have I dont think its appropriate. At this point, I was already "let get this shit over with and give the phone back before I continue giving you a piece of my mind". She ask me do I know why she took his phone and explained that he was being a nuinsance is class and singing to the girls in the class and some of the girls got offended with the lyrics. She said that my brother is a smart but playful. I agreed with her on that. She continued by saying no phone is allowed on school. Fine, I agree on that too. Then she proceeded to take the phone and read the sms on the phone out loud. (Oh, at this point she asked me to write a letter of apology to the school for this matter and she wanted it done now. I said fine and began writing the letter). I SNAPPED. "Im sorry Puan but I dont want to sound rude but I think that is just wrong of you to read all of his sms". She asked me, dont you read his sms. I said "No". She wasnt happy. She said her son is 25 or whatever age he is, and she reads his sms everyday. FUCK THAT SHIT. I dont fucking care what you do to your son's phone. She continued saying "wow, you're very sporting brother". I said "No. I watch over his actions but I give him SOME freedom and let him be responsible for himself. He is 17 and its a good practice for him to learn on how to be responsible with limitations". She wasnt happy with my method. She wants me to be in control of everything he does and guide him. Are you fuckin retarded? Do you think I just let him do anything he wants? NO you fuckin dumbass. He is not allowed to do a lot of things and if you ask my brother, he would say Im fucking Adolf Hitler or Chairman Mao. At this point, I just couldnt be bothered saying anything to the teacher because I know that, the next thing that would come out of my mouth is "FUCK OFF YOU FUCKING POL POT HITLER WANNABEE, FUCKING IM THE FUCKING LAW AND YOU HAVE TO ABIDE TO MY FUCKING RULES OR YOUR WILL DIE MOTHERFUCKER SLUT!". I just couldnt be bothered. She didnt want to take my time anymore, seeing its Friday prayers soon, she gave the handphone, I said "thank you Puan and you have a nice day". All she replied was...OK.

Sapa dah tengok cerita Reign Over Me, hasil lakonan si yahudi Adam Sandler tu? Cerita yang sangat sedih dan juga menyuntik semangat pada semua orang supaya tidak putus asa dan cuba bangkit apabila jatuh. Omputih kata, "rise from the ashes". What I love about this movie is the songs in it, especially Pearl Jam's versions of The Who's Love Reign O'er Me. Aduh makan dalam beb. Layan je la. Zasssss..! (poyonya aku)

Sungguh indah hari ini. Aku bangun awal. Start keta. Savvy aku semput cam motobot. Apahal ntah lah. Aku pergi awal kerja ni pun sebab nak pergi bengkel tanya apasal ngan savvy hebat ni. Sampai kedai aku pun tanya tokey kedai.

Aku : Bos, kereta saya semput la macam motorbot. Apasal ah?
Tokey : Ini biasa bos, semua savvy pun macam ni. Saya sudah tukar byk ini problem. Ini ah you punya ignition coil sudah mahu kena ganti. Sudah mau rosak ah bos.
Aku : Tukar baru berapa bos?
Tokey : Ignition coil baru RM800, spark plug 4 biji RM100
Aku : Campur u punya labour charge lebih kurang RM1000 la ni.
Tokey : Lebih kurang la bos...
Aku : ok..Tutup itu hud kereta bos.

Selamat Tahun Baru@Happy New Year. How was your new year? All I wanted to do was laze at home and probably doze off around 11 ish wake up, oh look its January 2009. Unfortunately, I was drag out of the house. Hahaha. Ema and I went to dinner at Victoria Station (I wanted Jakes but they were full) in Jalan Semantan with Kak Lin and Ijan. It was my dinner treat (for what I dont know, probably an excuse to get me out..hehe) and boy oh boy, ramai nya manusia. We had a good dinner and started to plan where to proceed with celebrating the coming of the new year. From Bangsar to Hartamas to KL we planned and finally we decided to go to Hartamas. Move towards Hartamas with no slight idea where to chill. Bars are like no point cause none of us drink so I decided to look for Lepaq. Got there, sat and order our drinks. Exactly at 12, it started. Mercun buluh at soul'd out and Mont Kiara. Pastu habis. Dah pun masuk 2009. Kanak-kanak riang berkeliaran bersama sebotol bir yang di kongsi ramai-ramai. Ramai juga mat-mat ex rempit yang berparti di Hartamas memegang tas tangan girlfriend kerana teman wanita berjalan sederet bersama rakan wanita yang lain, kononnya mabuk (mungkin juga, sebab tu boipren pegang beg tu). Auntie-auntie yang sudah tua, berpakaian seperti pelacur murahan cuba cari tempat lepak juga kelihatan. Pukul 2 kami pulang. Aku mengantuk. Aku dah tua untuk semua ini. Selamat berjaya di 2009!
